Web Development in Cheadle

Websites and web applications for businesses across Cheadle and the Staffordshire Moorlands

Web development for Cheadle businesses

Whoooop Ltd builds and maintains websites for businesses in Cheadle and the surrounding Moorlands. It's a working market town more than a tourist stop — the high street still has its butchers, cafés and family-run shops, and Pugin's spire at St Giles' is the landmark everyone navigates by. The trade here is a mix of retail, trades and small firms, plenty of them serving people who never set foot in the town and find them by searching first. That's the moment a website either does its job or quietly costs you the enquiry. With over 15 years in full-stack development behind us, we can build you something that holds up, whether you're online for the first time or replacing a site that's started to show its age.

What we build

Websites that win work

Fast, straightforward sites that explain what you do and make getting a quote the easy next step, not a chore buried three clicks deep.

Online shops

For makers and retailers selling beyond the Moorlands — Shopify where it fits, a bespoke build when your range or stock outgrows a template. More on our e-commerce web development page.

Web apps and internal tools

When the job is bigger than a brochure site — a booking flow, a customer login, software that runs part of how you work day to day. Our web application development page covers it.

Taking on a tired site

Stuck with a site nobody dares touch, or lost contact with whoever built it? We can take it over, sort out what's broken and keep it maintained.

Close to home, not far from the motorway

We're based in the Potteries, a short hop from Cheadle on the A521 and A50, so the western Moorlands is firmly part of the area we cover. Cheadle sits between the Six Towns and the open country towards Alton, and a lot of its businesses pull custom from both directions — day-trippers heading for Alton Towers and the Churnet Valley one way, Stoke and the A50 corridor the other. Most of a build gets sorted over email and a few calls, and we'll meet in person when there's a genuine reason to rather than to pad out a timeline. The Moorlands has a long industrial streak, from the old Cheadle coalfield to the firms working out of the town's yards and units today, so we're used to building for businesses that need a site as practical as they are. We work with TypeScript, React and Node.js on modern hosting, and we test on real phones — mobile signal can thin out once you're past the town, which makes a quick-loading site matter more, not less.

Getting found by local customers

A site only earns its keep if the people looking for what you do can actually find it. We handle the technical and on-page groundwork — page structure, loading speed and the markup search engines read — so you've a fair shot at showing up when someone nearby searches. For the Potteries to the west, our web development in Stoke-on-Trent page covers that ground.

Areas we cover

We work with businesses in Cheadle itself and across the villages around it — Tean and Upper Tean, Draycott, Forsbrook, Blythe Bridge, Cresswell and Kingsley — and out into the wider Moorlands. Leek is a short run up the road, covered on our web development in Leek page, and for the eastern side of the county our web development in Uttoxeter page takes over.
