Most of our pages are about building something. This one isn't. Taking over a site someone else built
A common reason people get in touch: the developer who made the site has moved on, gone quiet, or priced themselves out, and now nobody dares touch it. We're comfortable picking up an existing codebase. The first thing we do is read it — work out how it's put together, where the risks are, what's out of date — and tell you plainly what state it's in before anyone changes a line. Sometimes the honest answer is that patching it is fine for now; sometimes it's that a rebuild would cost less over a year than nursing it along. Either way you'll get a straight assessment rather than a sales pitch.

Some clients want a set number of hours each month for the steady trickle of changes; others just want a number to call when something breaks. Both are fine. We don't lock the work behind a long contract or sit on access to your own site — the code, the hosting and the domain stay yours, and you can walk away whenever you like.
